University of Ballarat
The University of Ballarat was proclaimed by Act of the Victorian Parliament in 1994, from the former Ballarat College of Advanced Education. It subsequently absorbed the Ballarat School of Mines and the Horsham-based Wimmera Institute of TAFE in 1998.
The University has six campuses, three in Ballarat and one each at Horsham, Stawell and Ararat, and a total student population of over 19,000.
